Good food, it's a small hole in the wall. I got the chicken teriyaki and was happy with it

Great food fast service and very very polite will definitely be going back and getting some more.

I was staying in a hotel across the street and needed a quick and easy dinner. What a surprise. I wasn't expecting much, but it's clear that this family owned business is fanatical about providing a quality plate of food. I chatted with the owner while his coworker graciously prepared a pork teriyaki for me right at closing time. He explained that all of their sauces were homemade and fresh, showed me around the attached store, and generally displayed a pride in ownership and customer service that isn't that common anymore. The spice level was perfect, the meat cooked to perfection, and the sauce had a very complex flavor. This was the best teriyaki I've had in a long time. Definitely not what I was expecting. Good value for the money! I will definitely be back!

great food. Love it Highly recommend coming here. Van and his family make a great teriyaki and the portions are perfect. Chicken teriyaki Chicken yakisoba

This is the best teriyaki in the area, hands down. Meat was cooked to perfection. Family owned!

Friendly service, good food, fast preparation. The space where you order is fairly bare bones, with a few tables and some drink dispensers. Doesn't matter. It's clean and the food is good. Everyone who spoke to us was cheerful and efficient. We got the tofu teriyaki and the combo beef and chicken teriyaki. Both were delicious.

When it comes to the food, Yamada certainly IS five stars. Actually, it was some of the best teriyaki I've ever had. The spice level was perfect. The chicken was fresh with lots of flavor. I gave it four stars because it's just too overpriced. $16-$20 for a single bowl? In THIS economy? Come on, now. With all that being said, I'd probably come back here if I were in the area again.

Good tasting chicken, I like this place. The old (marine vet?) owner has a sense of humor. Need to go back and try the Teriyaki. Can't take any points off! It's a homey feeling hole in the wall. ___ 2/17/2023 Went back, the food is really good. Just go.

This is a gem hiding around the corner in South Center. Small mom and pop shop with FRESH veggies and good portions. Well worth the drive.
